This class includes projects for teens which focus on design, originality, personal expression. An outgrowth of the Punk Rock torn and safety-pinned kind of look, each project presents a modern fashion look with an "edge" many teens enjoy. . . clean "edge" parents appreciate. A "cool" way to discover the possibilities in knowing how to sew, projects develop careful planning, measuring, cutting, and stitching skills. Request a pre-class packet for more details. Sock Creatures

I thank my student Kelie for sharing her project book of sock creatures. This class requires dexterity and good hand-sewing skills and is all about imagination. Recycle socks and create one-of-a-kind best-buddies. Develops conceptualizing and planning skills, dexterity and hand-sewing skills. Good for intermediate and advanced students. Pre-class packet available.

9-Patch Pocket Pillow Sham

An introduction to sewing and an excellent class for youngsters. Students make a patchwork Pillow Cover of their own design or from a prepared kit. Call ahead to order a personalized kit or receive a materials shopping guide. An excellent and gratifying project for beginners.
